hi i have used all of them web browsers, i just want t say, when you are gonna browse you should have firefox and safari. i use firefox as my primary because of addon’s facitly but when i have to use heavy load like facebook, youtube. i prefer safari, need not to mention safari also show rich colors in it. which make more interactive, and attractive. like you simply open google in both firfox and safari and see it for your self. any how both are best, just want to say that firefox has all thing that other don’t except its browsing speed is lower then safari. so its up to your choice. what ever you use. i have both of them.

BTW.. Safari 4 (FInal) is out now.. try it and you will forget Firefox for ever :) )

Hi all,
What about Crazy Browser ?
I’m using it since 2000. It had tab browsing before even Firefox existed (for what I know).
No one speaks about this browser ? Am I crazy to use Crazy Browser ?
Anyway, I like it better than Firefox 3.5.2, that is soooooo slow just to open, not even speaking about reaching the url I request. I think Crazy Browser is much faster.
One should mostly feel comfortable with a browser, mine is Crazy Browser.

hey guys,
my first alternative was opera and i have been using opera since its v.5 and is my fav so far. i hated ie from the beginning.i feel opera is the best software in innovation & for the being first of its kind… the features which now are easily available in all the other browser were first introduced by opera(tabbing, fast loading, fit to the screen, private browsing, speed dial, torrent download and html 3, turbo mode in opera 10).
in technological point of view opera products are way innovative such as opera unite that directly link people’s personal computers together, we can connect with our friends at the same time. It all happens through the browser and it will work wherever Opera works. opera dragonfly which converts the browser in to a debugging tool… once you get use to opera’s interface you will hate all the other browsers user interfaces..

in user interactive it is way better than firefox but my second best choice is firefox.. because videos load faster in firefox ( i use firefox 3.5) and it has better self correcting ability which help sites badly programmed load correctly and almost all sites are compatible with firefox than opera (eg facebook but opera 10 fixed it). i also like the add-ons of firefox more because they improve the browsing experience( i use no script and studioL boost) they increased the load time of facebook and no script blocks all the flash banners and adds or any flash item which increases the load time and makes the browsing secure ( but i advise just to keep the ones you really need otherwise to many add ons will crash firefox)… my fav part of firefox is the dictionary ( else you wouldn’t have read this till here) and the thing i hate the most of firefox is that it has a very long startup time.. and eats my cpu usage.. personally i felt firefox is competing with opera from development stages itself… i mean once opera brings a new feature out firefox has it the instance later.. making it look they both came at the same time( i think it is because firefox is Open source code software which is also another best thing of firefox)

right now my fav browser is opera 10 its beauitufl, fast and veyr stable, then i use firefox v3.5, safari and last chrome.

safari is very descent browser.. just because im an opera fan i dont use this browser much but i really like it, it is pretty fast… when i use chrome i feel im using a lil tweaked firefox.. it feels like it.. what i hate about chrome is.. exit the application it is still running and eats my Internet speed and memory..

What all these reviews leave out is Active X compatibility. Love it or hate it, if you want real website functionality for things like Outlook Webmail or web enabled SharePoint services, you have to have Active X. And nobody else besides IE8 does.

Spare me the lectures. I didn’t choose Outlook Webmail. My client did. My VPN access gives me webmail. I can’t use FF, or anything else for that matter.

When one speaks of browser ‘compatibility’, getting off one’s high horse and acknowledging that Active X is used on many pages, might indicate that the IE8 competitors aren’t totally there yet.

PS: FF is my browser of choice… except when it doesn’t work.

Is there a way to standardize html pages so that they all come out looking the same font, format etc on all browsers. For example, when I create a web page, it looks great on IE, but very different on Firefox, the numbering and bullet points are not aligned etc.

I had IE, Opera, Safari, Firefox and few less known too. Then time for Chrome has begun. Fastest of all mentioned and – with extensions – got functionality like Firefox and Opera lightness. In one word: Chrome is the future.

Hy,
almost all of the comments are favoring FF and then chrome , but not many thinks IE is any good. first of all i must confess that i m regular user of FF and have also used chrome and liked that for fast browsing it was awsome but when it comes to real heavy usage IE is number one. i use some websites to download some pdf papers chrome don’t work there, FF when i really start using for some multiple browsing on tabs and go to some website to download or even watch some thing it becomes slow and crashed even.
but IE never gave me any problem its only problem as far as i m concerned is that its interface it really needs some makeover.
It is lil slow cause it has almost basic everthing that is needed for browsing trouble free.

One thing i would really like to know is whether the tests that have been conducted are fair or not the reason i am saying is because chrome is very very light, FF is moderate but IE is heavy,
why not add features to chrome and FF so that it can become as effective as IE and then check???? just put them on same platform.

@Strong Eagle: Chrome has activex compatibility. It uses the same registered ActiveX components that IE does.
Firefox doesn’t have it.

Hi,

I think firefox is the best browser as it protects it’s users from viruses. Also ever since i used firefox i have not had many problems. Only its little slow which i think will improve in later versions. I think Firefox rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve used IE, Firefox, Safari… the best one though I’d have to say is CHROME! It’s as fast as Safari. Now it has extensions, sorta like Firefox. And downloading the IE Tab extension in Chrome is a quick fix for websites you couldn’t access without IE. Also, much simpler, easy to use, and has a better design (because its simple) than any other browser. Download the Dev edition though.

None can match opera. It is sleek , cool , safe and fast. Opera 10.10 has turbo feature which helps slower connections. Like its mobile version , opera is a clear leader. But why the above article omits such a crucial software is a mystery.

There is NO such thing as the BEST..It’s ALL about user preferance and matter of opinion…

If everyone here who commented used the same browser, they would all perform very differently due to the amont of toolbars, plugins, or other settings each user has!! I could go on… but my advice is always try them all,,they are all free and only then you can decide which is best for you regardless of any experts opinion..
