The very first Open Source Symbian Software has been released through the Symbian organization’s plan to eventually release a new data base for mobile operating systems.
The Symbian Foundation was set up through the combined efforts of Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, NTT DoCoMo, Texas Instruments, Vodafone, Samsung, LG as well as AT & T back in June 2008. This development led to the growth of Symbian OS which has been a great platform for licensed as well as under the Eclipse Public Licence or EPL. There have been previously developed OS system solutions given through the Symbian Foundation.
On Wednesday the Symbian made it available the very first packages of EPL or the OS Securiy Package system. According to the Symbian developer, Craig Heath, The OS Package is a great source of new codes now available. It is being available through EPL and the very first packages will be moved from Symbian Foundation License only.
The codes are all legally based and available through regulations under UK legislation regarding software code legalities.
These are all exceptional software, according to the reviews, that are making things available through public domain and as the meaning of open sourced software expand the exploration into new fields continue and keep on growing. So is the movement from SFL to EPL.
