Apple’s iPhone and iPod Chief Greg Joswiak is confident that gaming devices will be at the centre of his company’s future success. He believes that the iPod serves as the better gaming device than Sony’s PSP and Nintendo’s DS.

Joswiak told in a recent interview with T3 that the recent passed quarter was iPod’s biggest non-holiday quarter ever.

“So, iPod proved quite impressive and a big part of its success was the launch of the September products. No doubt, we surprised a lot of people with the success of the iPod touch,”

It’s not only Microsoft that is preparing a new Xbox, behind closed doors, to succeed its Xbox 360, but Sony is also working on its PlayStation 4.

According to the Internet rumor mills, the next console battle is expected during 2011-2012 as it’s a time when industry analyst Colin Sebastian and Crytek’s CEO Cevat Yerli are expecting a possible Xbox 720 and PS4.

To know about the capabilities of a PS4, it is essential to know what this current PS3 has and what not. It seems that Sony will certainly need to closely assimilate the software development and hardware components for the PS4.

The event is being held at the “Bookmarks Lounge” of the Library Hotel, New York. The press invite says, “We are going to open a new chapter on digital reading, so join us.” The image of this press invite is available on the internet.
There are little details about the event, but it’s quite obvious that it would be about the information about eBook technology that Sony will present in front of the press.

Sony’s PlayStation Portable (PSP) is continuing to sell successfully all around Japan. The latest selling figures have confirmed that the PSP is selling more than any other platform.

According to a report, the recent figures from Media Create show that with 67,452 unit sales, the PSP is at the top of the tree.

The figure is still a bit down than the recent week’s figure of 74,024 but it’s ahead of 56,698 units DS sales. The high sale is being attributed to a metallic blue model’s release.
