According to a report published in the Philippine Business Mirror says that Acer has confirmed that its Android-powered handset will be available this year.

The handset is expected to feature a touchscreen and it will be one of E1, F1, L1 and C1 handsets that have been announced last month. It seems to fit nicely in the roadmap that Acer has already provided in a recent event.

Samsung has come up with its new Idou touch screen powered handset with a 12 mega pixel camera; the first of its kind in the world. The idea phone has been shown at Mobile World Congress with little specs details at hand.

A key Samsung executive has just revealed that it looks uncertain that Samsung to come with its Android cell phone at MWC.

Younghee Lee, who marketing head at Samsung Mobile, says in an interview with the Guardian that Samsung is more likely to launch its handset with Google OS in the later half of this year.
