NX10
Samsung displayed the newly designed interchangeable-lens camera under glass. This display was great but nothing was heard about it for over 9 months. Now Samsung has made the awaited confirmation about the interchangeable lens camera going into production. As announced the formal launch could come around spring this year. Besides the brief news-break no other details are made known to any related sector.
People are anticipating knowing more on its shooting performance, shutter speeds and so on. The only information made public is that its “fast and decisive” autofocus capability.
Samsung, reportedly, has improved its new lens mount – Samsung NX mount. This is disappointing news to the business circles and competitor giant Pentaxians, who also expected to benefit from this development. The Samsung inter-chargeable-lens is not adaptable to Pentax lenses. Since these two giants have a d SLR relationship between them and it was natural expectation that the two would also be inter-supporting on technical grounds. Samsung has not built-in boosters to help market in daptation modes.
Samsung, however, did not Prove very selfish with respect to Pentax. They plan to supply a Pentax K-mount adaptor, suitable for using the inter-chargeable-lens on Pentax lenses / camera. But this adaptor will not facilitate use of Pentax lenses on Samsung cameras. A real neat strategy. Samsung plans to offer three NX mount lenses; 18-55mm f 3.5 – 5.6, 50-200mm f 4-5.6 and 30mm pancake at launch occasion.
