Nokia doesn’t realize the full sales and word-of-mouth potential of any of their units. As soon as one is ready to purchase an N80, the N81 is announced. Before I decided to up the ante for an N81, news of the N82 surfaces. As I’m deciding if I want to wait for the N82 to arrive, I decide to save for an N95. Just as I’m prepared to buy an N95, news of the N96 comes up. Then before the N96 becomes available, Nokia is already leaking images of the N96i. Nokia takes away from it’s own prestige and causes customers to be dissatisfied w/ their pricey units almost immediately. It’s an unwise marketing strategy. They could sell many more of each unit, if they let the sales of that unit play out before endlessly drawing our attention to what always seems to be next.

I liked the stand feature included in the phone, attached to the camera side. I too think that it will create a tough time for iphone.

I am Nokia lover.. This new design of N96 is really nice as compared to N95. It looks more stylish and suitable for youngsters. Nokia is great because they have a sustainable competitive idea to compete with other big companies. I truly support this new N96!

It’s amazing how all the new phones coming out are going for that sleek sexy black iphone style shape and colour. I’m deciding whether to hold off from buying the Samsung Omnia to get this awesome device. I think the next gen phone wars is under way right now with this the iphone and omnia! Personally anything with Samsung written on it has my priority, then Nokia and finally the crummy old iphone with no great camera :-(

The design is eye catching and all the features is awesome. It surely can be a huge rival for iPhone, because this N96 is design for multimedia and mobile lifestyle, compatible for the user can also provided a high class entertainment on the palm of your hand.

I’m not sure how the branding strategy goes, but to go heads on with iPhone is a pretty straightforward challenge. And the timing for the release is quite near to each other. I hope that this is a phone worth buying, since it is a win in terms of looks.

It is a pity that just after iphone release almost all the mobile phone companies have started releasing similar models to that of iphone and this nokia N96 too falls into that category only. Lets see how it fares against iphone!

I love the sleek stylish concept behind a phone that has so many functions. There will be a lot of competition between the I phone and this little black beauty I am sure.

I hope the price will not be on higher side. The trend now go to iPhone and I’m stuck with Samsung for more than a year now with SGH-U600. Can’t wait to back to Nokia back. The only reason I choose other brands and not Nokia is because of the pricing. I think no brand can beat Nokia if their price is competitive in the market.

I completely agree with you El…..
This is a problem with Nokia, once they will launch a model the successors of the same model will be in market in less than a month….
Where as you won’t find this problem with Sony, Samsung or any other leading phone manufacturer.
And everybody is talking about ” N96 an answer to iPhone ”
Sorry guys… first analyze the phones completely and then comment…. iPhone is far ahead when it comes to technology and features.
