We often wondered about these plastic disposable cameras (mostly seen only at wedding receptions) how long we would depend on them and then came the answer from a Japanese company Plaza Create

The company will start selling its disposable digital cameras that have been developed by recycling the dead mobile phones.
With its ¥1,480 (£6.75) price tag for 50 pictures, the camera is little bit higher in price than other film-based disposable cameras and that’s why we can hope that they would provide a final battleground to the old school snappers.
Plaza Create, no doubt, is a keen observer of the burgeoning eco market in Japan, as it claiming to use further recycled parts of cell phones in future and especially lenses.
Phone makers have long been urged by the Japanese government to act positively for the reuse and collection of cell phones.
Despite of all that fuss only 13 percent of 50 million used phones recycled during 2006. If it succeeds in Japan, it would surely influence Western phone makers.
