iPill: Philips uncovers swallow-able camera pill

This new device will be prefixed by an ‘I’ and it may be one on your Christmas list anytime soon, but it looks least likely.

This swallow-able camera pill, named as the iPill, is the latest device from Philips and it will serve to deliver targeted doses of medicine to patients.

With it minute 11mmx26mn existence, the capsule is quite easier to swallow and it passes through digestive system and doses you up with the right amount of medicine once ingested.

iPill has been significantly designed to treat patients with different digestive disorders like colon cancer and Crohn’s disease.

The pill wirelessly reports its findings back to an external receiver once it is swallowed.

This new invention has been displayed this week at the meeting of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists in Atlanta.
