Inspiron Mini 9
At last Dell much talked about netbook has appeared on the horizon in a public airing in Monaco.
The noticeable thing about the machine is its size. With just a 9-inch screen it is somewhat weightless. Just close and slip easily into a small handbag or any other sort of bag that are not considered sufficient for laptops.
The version (we tried) had Unbuntu as operating system and it took almost a minute to get start.
The Icons appear big and those who are experience with Linux system can easily find what they were looking for.
The thing that is inspiring or to be more exact a bit of sticking point with the computer is 3G as you can get the 3G modem as a part of the package with a min contract of 24 months.
You will have to make do with plain old Wi-Fi if you buy it from your Dell stockist. It didn’t take long to log on to the internet through the Wi-Fi but the tad mustn’t be sluggish. However, you can expect such things from such a small stature.
It also somewhat hard to grip the touchpad and the mouse pointer in the said version aptly goes in every direction. It was a cool experience after facing grips issues.
It houses 16 GB SSD hard drive that is not sufficient for this age and time for lot music, movies and pictures to consume with.
So far design is concerned; this Mini Inspiron 9 looks a little plasticky. The bottom is matt dull, top with gloss finish and a not very appealing plastic rim around the screen.

Dell Laptops are always of high quality and the 3G feature of this laptop is very usefull. The looks & the body of this Laptop is also good.Along with 3G, the Wifi capability makes it a complete wireless Laptop.
