With 8.6 million subscribers in three months, China has proved that it deserves ‘the biggest mobile phone market’ tag.
A sharp upturn in those that have abandoned the fixed line has made 601 million people to use mobile phones.
Contrarily, in the first six months of 2008, almost 9.3 million subscribers abandoned using fixed line. Removing of the cost for answering calls in the big cities and low inter-city roaming charges are the basic factors behind this increasing number of mobile operators.

In the first half of 2008, almost 53.5 million subscribers became a part of different mobile networks.
But still something of a sticking point is being noticed in the introduction of 3G networks and becoming the cause of delay in introducing higher end devices.
There are predictions which indicate that Super 3G with 100-200mbps wireless running pace will be organized worldwide on a very big scale. This is being considered a reason in delayed decisions of Chinese network operators.
Without any doubt, this is a remarkable achievement of any country to get almost half of the country on mobile phones in less than ten years.
